AHA BLS & ACLS eLearning
We have AHA online courses for staff's initial
& renewal BLS/ACLS via online AHA
eLearning. Simply schedule
skills practice &
testing with
us
after completing the onine or cognitive
postion. Your manager or supervisor should
provide you the time
required to complete the online or E-learning and
written test and the Skills checkoff (Practice & Testing)
(with AHA Instructor or through voice-assisted manikin-

If your job role requires that you have a current BLS
and/or ACLS, you have been automatically assigned the appropriate
Heartcode or RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) course(s) in
TMS so you can get started sooner than later. Your supervisor is
your primary source of support of your course completions so
communicate your training plans accordingly. Employees
required to have BLS and/or ACLS credentials, please
contact your service or
division supervisor, educator, AO, AA, or PSA for any questions
to allow for planning, scheduling and course completion/success.
All AHA BLS and ACLS courses are initiated and completed through

Voice-Assisted Manikin (VAM) Skills
Validation
Click here to sign up online NOW for skills check off
via the VAM. You MUST complete Heartcode Self-guided
manikin activity within
30 days
of Heartcode online, knowledge, or
cognitive portion Completion to ensure timely completion of your
skills checkoff. You must complete your skills check-off via the
voice-assisted manikin - VAM (24/7). Once again,
click here to sign up online NOW for skills check off via the VAM. You will hear
back within 72 hours ONLY if the course date & time you've
registered for is full or there is a potential problem with your
registration. Otherwise if you do not hear back you have been given
a courtesy slot on your proposed choice of class date &
time. No prior sign-up is required for the brief 5-min RQI Manikin
activity except to sign-in upon arrival (first come, first served)
when using the C3006 RQI VAM skills
stations.
How to access AHA RQI BLS/ACLS in
TMS
Instructions: Log on TMS. To locate assigned TMS RQI course, click "Filter" on home screen's top left next to "My Learning". Type "RQI" into the Keyword BOX that pops up. If it pulls up RQI results, you have BRIEF SKILLS HANDS-ON (6-8 minutes). Just CLICK title to START.
Moderate
Sedation Credentialing at the Durham
VAMC
Providers needing renewal of their Moderate Sedation credential and privilege are required to hold a CURRENT AHA ACLS card and complete the Moderate Sedation National Training Program available via TMS . Please register before coming to class. It is expected that MDs attending the ACLS courses would have already :
1) completed the Moderate Sedation National Training Program available via TMS. You may search the Moderate Sedation National Training by the item number that follows (VA 32979). Present a TMS completion certificate printout after passing the self-assessment ;
